Rugby league inspires Kempsey High girls to pursue the best of themselves
Kempsey Girls Academy students featured in the Macleay Argus for their rugby achievements and also for their great efforts in school. The girls are taking on the best teams in New South Wales TODAY in Sydney.
Girls Academy Development Officer Misty Kelly told the newspaper that the opportunity to play the sport they love at school has given the girls a renewed view of the academic environment.
Deputy principal Jed Peisley said: “Playing in the side has given the girls a brand new focus and understanding of the opportunities that school gives them… Attendance, behaviour, academic success and work ethic towards classwork and assessment tasks have all improved.”
The school thanked Kempsey Girls Academy for their key role in the rugby program.
